Fair use limits apply so the generator stays free for everyone. If you hit the limit, come back later.

Writing a Prompt That Works

Most disappointing results come from prompts that are too short. The model fills every gap you leave, and its guesses are generic.

The structure that works most reliably is: subject, shot type, style, lighting, colour, mood. The prompt builder assembles exactly that from a set of dropdowns, and copies out a finished line you can paste here or into any other generator.

What to Do Next in GIMP

A generated image is rarely finished. These are the four jobs that come up every time.

  1. Fix the hands, teeth and text. These are still where models fail. The Clone and Heal tools handle small repairs, and the frequency separation guide covers larger ones.
  2. Add real text. Never rely on generated lettering. Generate the image without text, then add a text layer in GIMP where you control the font and spelling.
  3. Cut out the subject. If you generated on a plain background, the background remover lifts it out in seconds.
  4. Grade the colour. Generated images often have a slightly plasticky, over even look. A Curves adjustment and a touch of grain fixes most of it. See colour correction in GIMP.

Ownership, Limits, and Being Straight About It

  • Copyright on AI images is unsettled and varies by country. Several jurisdictions have held that a purely machine generated image has no human author and therefore no copyright protection. Adding substantial human editing changes that picture, but not uniformly. Do not build a business on the assumption that you own a raw generation outright.
  • This tool refuses some prompts. Requests for sexual content, gore, or real people in compromising situations are blocked. That is deliberate and not negotiable.
  • Do not generate real people in situations they were never in. Beyond the legal exposure, it is the single fastest way to cause real harm with this technology.
  • Say when an image is generated if the context could mislead. News, documentation, product photos, listings and reviews are all contexts where a reader assumes a photograph is a photograph.
  • Nothing is stored here. The image comes back to your browser directly and is not written to our disk, so downloading it before you navigate away is the only copy you get.

Common Questions

Why does it ignore part of my prompt?

Models weight the opening words most heavily and blur together long lists of competing ideas. Put the important thing first, and cut the prompt down rather than adding to it.

Why can it not write text properly?

Image models learn shapes, not spelling. Letters look like letters and mean nothing. Generate without text and add it in GIMP.

Can I generate the same image twice?

No. Each run starts from a different random seed, so the same prompt gives a family of related images rather than an exact repeat.

Can I upload an image to edit?

Not through this tool, which works from text only. To describe an existing image instead, use the alt text generator, which can also produce the prompt that would recreate it.

What size does it produce?

Roughly one megapixel, shaped to the ratio you chose. If you need it larger, run the download through the upscaler.
