2.3 Download Analytics

When you click a download button, we record the platform (e.g., Windows), architecture (e.g., x64), timestamp, referring page, browser user agent, and a hashed IP address. We do not store raw IP addresses. This data helps us understand which platforms are most popular and verify our download links are working.

2.4 Image Tool Usage

When you use our free image tools (Image Resizer, Compressor, etc.), we log the tool name, input/output type, processing time, file size (before and after), success status, and a hashed IP address. We do not store, retain, or analyze the content of uploaded images. Uploaded images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the operation completes.

2.5 Server Logs

Our web server generates standard access logs including IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, and user agents. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted.

3. Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your login state if you create an account. We use no third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any behavioral advertising tracking on this site.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to operate the site (e.g., our hosting provider processes requests to serve the site). We use no third-party analytics or advertising services.

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage and are never stored in plaintext. IP addresses are one-way hashed using SHA-256 before storage. The site uses HTTPS for all connections. Database access is restricted to server processes only.

6. Your Rights

If you have created an account, you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. If you are in the EU or EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

GIMP.cc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
